Girls Centre of Excellence

The Centre’s aim has always been to recruit and develop talented female football players within a highly professional environment as well as offering support and guidance to all its players.

Established in 2001 Watford FC’s Community Sports and Education Trust’s Girls Centre of Excellence is still the only F.A. registered Centre in Hertfordshire.

The Centre currently runs teams at U10’s, U12’s, U14’s and U16’s respectively with the best players recruited from all over Hertfordshire and surrounding areas, which is no easy task as this season witnessed over 400 trialists looking to be selected.

All the age groups train twice a week where they receive high quality and enjoyable coaching from our F.A. qualified coaches. The Centre also provides players with medical support from our team of female physiotherapists on training nights and matchday’s.

As a registered Centre, Watford are entered into the F.A.’s Eastern fixtures programme competing against other Centre’s in the league including Arsenal, Cambridge United, Colchester United, Ipswich Town, Luton Town, Leyton Orient and Norwich to name but a few. All of Watford’s home matches being played at Parmiters School Sports Centre, High Elms Lane, Watford.
