As well as running the Centre of Excellence, The Trust also works closely with the FA in the development of the female game at grassroots level. The Trust also runs a Girls Development Programme to run parallel to the Centre of Excellence to underpin our girls and women’s scheme.

Players are identified for the Centre through many of the Trust’s football initiatives and by working with other partner/organisations, including youth teams and schools. Players are identified for displaying a high level of ability as well as a positive attitude. The Player Development Centre provided us with an opportunity to work with and help develop good players within a high quality coaching environment as well as providing a route for talented players to feed directly into future Centre of Excellence squads.

At present, the Centre currently has 60 players attending its weekly sessions at the Harefield Academy.
