North Herts College Academy

This exciting programme will give youngsters between the ages of 16 and 19 the chance to combine academic studies with practical football experience.

Watford's Community Trust and North Herts College have joined forces to provide an academic programme which will give scholars grounding in football coaching. They will complete a BTEC First Diploma, National Award or Certificate in Sport as well as completing FA coaching badges.

Students will also train daily and play on a competitive basis - an experience similar to that of Watford FC's own Academy Scholars. On completion of the course, players will gain the skills required to help them progress to a higher standard of football as well as gain experiences necessary to work in community football coaching.

The unique package is a fantastic opportunity for youngsters keen to develop their talent on the football pitch and find a route into a career in football coaching.

Players will take part in daily training sessions delivered by UEFA qualified coaches and will be involved in competitive fixtures on a weekly basis.

All players will be fully kitted out in WFC training wear, will receive match tickets to selected Watford FC first team matches and will play against Watford's very own Academy during the course of the season.
