Lead Fitness Coach (Weight Management Programme)

Sessional Rate: £40 (Evening Availability Essential)

The key responsibility of the role will be Group Lead of a weekly 90 Minute session delivering a Weight Management Programme to adults 18-65 years of age (25 per group). The main responsibilities of the role are to deliver a weekly educational healthy lifestyle presentation followed by a physical activity session. The programme will consist of 12 weekly sessions and will be running throughout the year.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Experience of working with adults in either a sports, fitness or healthy lifestyle context
  • Experience of leading a programme and delivering, alongside an assistant worker
  • Hold a qualification in preferably an active sport and nutrition
  • Hold at least REPS level 3 personal trainer qualification
  • Excellent communication and inter personal skills
  • Ability to motivate and facilitate weight reduction in adults
  • A passion to make a difference through sport and education
  • A full and valid UK driving licence

Assistant Fitness Coach (Weight Management Programme)

Sessional Rate: £30 (Evening Availability Essential)

The key responsibility of the role will be to assist the running of each session delivering a Weight Management Programme to adults aged 18 to 65 years of age (25 per group). The weekly programme includes a 30 minute lifestyle education session followed by a 60 minute physical exercise session. The programme will consist of 12 weekly sessions and the courses run back to back year round.

The main candidate responsibilities include:

  • Setting up session equipment and making sure venue is fit for purpose
  • Running physical activity sessions (with support) and taking charge of group exercise activities and games.
  • Assisting the lead coach with the general running of each session and participant support.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • A passion for Sport, Health & Fitness
  • Be enthusiastic, punctual, reliable and confident in a group environment
  • Hold at least a level 2 fitness instructor qualification (or be working towards)
  • Excellent communication and inter personal skills
  • A passion to make a difference through sport, fitness and education
  • A full and valid UK driving licence

Sessional Coach

Watford FC’s Community Sports and Education Trust deliver over 200 hours of coaching sessions and community activity across a wide range of educational, fun and engaging sport based programmes per week and we are seeking highly motivated, enthusiastic, creative and committed football coaches to join our team to help support this delivery across Hertfordshire and Harrow. The types of football sessions include curriculum and after school sessions, holiday course and matchday events, girls and women’s specific projects and disability multi-sports activities.
 
The applicants will need have a flexible approach to work, with evening and weekend projects a possibility. This position is for a casual worker, with hours varying according to assignments.
