Working in partnership with the Watford Dementia Steering Group, the Golden Memories At Home reminiscence programme offers support and signposting to those living with dementia and their carers.
Developed as an extension of the programme that was based at Vicarage Road, Golden Memories At Home aims to evoke the same magic and personal memories as previous face-to-face sessions.
Golden Memory Boxes have been created and contain a host of wonderful resources from Watford FC and the Watford Museum – from sporting memorabilia to a ‘Journey through the decades’ booklet, detailing each decade from the 1940s including key events, fashion and food facts. These boxes will be delivered to your home.
Regular telephone calls and/or doorstep visits can be arranged. These provide a friendly familiar voice of support, especially for those living on their own.
There will be additional opportunities to join special events via Zoom. Most recently, a Valentines Cream Tea was arranged with live music and special guest appearances. Future events include an Easter Variety Show.
