Golden Memories is a reminiscence programme run by Watford FC's Community Sports and Education Trust aimed at those living with mild to moderate dementia. The programme is funded by the Premier League and PFA through the PL PFA Community Fund and delivered with the support of community partners Watford Museum and University of Hertfordshire.

Golden Memories will use a host of Watford FC memorabilia and magic moments to stimulate the senses and evoke personal memories. Not only will the programme focus on reminiscence but also act as a tool to reintroduce physical activity whether that be chair exercises or even table football.

Dementia doesn’t just effect the individual with Dementia though. With that in mind, Golden Memories will also provide a space for support, respite and workshops for carers.

Based in the Sensory Room at Vicarage Road Stadium, Golden Memories, will be running an initial 12 week and 18 week course of sessions with the possibility of expanding in to a community group in the future. These initial sessions will run from now until December 2019 and again in March 2020 within year one of the programme. Again with the possibility for learnings into year two and the 2020/21 season.
