What I do

I support an energetic and dynamic department of staff who provide a range of activities to hundreds of children and young people every week in education environments and the wider community throughout SW Herts and Harrow. We use football and sport as a vehicle to engage with our users to develop their footballing ability, or their academic and life skills. We also use the power of WFC’s community profile to provide matchday activities and create positive memories of WFC for future generations of Watford fans. No two days are ever the same and my work can range from being the conduit between Club and Trust colleagues to support project delivery, to undertaking management and leadership functions with staff, projects and external partners.

I want to make a positive difference because we carry the legacy of Graham Taylor and the reputation of the Club and the Trust into the projects that we deliver. We create so many positive outcomes for our users and their families almost every day of the year in one form or another and this makes me feel very proud of our staff and organisation.

My Trust value

Integrity is my chosen value. Two of my favourite definitions of integrity that resonate with me and how I go about my work and life are: “Integrity is choosing your thoughts and actions based on values rather than personal gain.” (Chris Karcher, Author) and “Integrity is doing the right thing, even when no one is watching” (C. S. Lewis, Author).
