Stadium Sleep Out signs headline sponsor: Imagine a world without homelessness…
Five partnering charities are thrilled to welcome aboard the headline sponsor for their Dreams United: Stadium Sleep Out to be held at Watford FC’s Vicarage Road stadium. The event seeking to raise awareness of the increasing number of people experiencing homelessness, and raise much needed funds to support them, will be sponsored by Imagine; a local estate, letting, land and new homes agent.
Imagine’s Group Managing Director, Mike Cole, said:
“While Imagine as a business helps clients looking to buy and rent property, we have always been acutely aware that not everyone is so fortunate. For that reason, the opportunity to support events that positively impact those less fortunate has been something we have regularly sought out.
The Dreams United Sleepout is going to have a very positive effect locally, and Imagine are genuinely delighted to be part of this occasion.”
The sponsorship announcement comes as momentum builds for the event, with 150 people already signed up to take part and over £5,000 fundraised. The Dreams United: Stadium Sleep Out brings the community together to raise awareness and funds to support vulnerable individuals; with a night to remember, a cause to champion.
The sleep out, will take place from 7pm on 1st March to 7am on 2nd March 2024, at Watford FC’s Vicarage Road ground. Watford FC’s Community Sports & Education trust are partnering with homelessness charities; One YMCA, Herts Young Homeless, New Hope and DENS, which provide accommodation and specialist support in Hertfordshire, and are teaming up in their fight against homelessness and bringing attention to the detrimental impact that becoming homeless has on every aspect of an individual’s life.
The charities invite everyone to brave the cold and swap their bed for a sleeping bag whilst experiencing a night at the iconic Vicarage Road Stadium, to provide a bit of a reality check and raise much needed funds. This family friendly event seeks to bring together the whole community for the community. Proceeds from the event will be shared between the charities to tackle homelessness in Hertfordshire.
There will be the opportunity during the sleep out to hear from the charities about the critical work that they do, as well as from Watford’s Mayor, Peter Taylor, who is taking part in the event.
Over 200 participants have already signed up to take part, so If you would like to get involved in this incredible event, or for details of event sponsorship opportunities, please email leah.crocket@watfordfc.com or visit https://www.watfordfccsetrust.com/stadium-sleepout/
