MENTAL HEALTH WORLD CUP 2026 AT THE VIC!
Help the Original Family Club and the Trust to raise awareness of mental health.
The Mental Health World Cup 2026 will take place at Watford FC’s Vicarage Road on Saturday 9th May, bringing together football, community, and fundraising in support of the Trust and mental health charities.
The event is a unique collaboration between The Mental Health World Cup Charity, Watford FC’s Community Sports and Education Trust, and WD18, uniting football and community spirit for a full day of activity at the stadium.
Across the day, over 100 five-a-side matches will be played across six pitches, with teams representing countries from around the world. The competition will begin with group stages before progressing into knockout rounds, with all players wearing official kits supplied by Kelme.

Alongside the football, the day will feature a programme of mental health charity talks aimed at raising awareness and encouraging open conversation around wellbeing. Trust staff will also be on hand to talk about our mental health support programmes such as Youth Link, Man On!, and She Plays On!.
There will also be a raffle and live auction, including a special opportunity for ex-Watford players to be auctioned into teams to support their journey through to the final stages of the competition. The event will conclude with a formal trophy presentation recognising standout achievements including Player of the Tournament, Top Scorer, and Top Fundraiser.
Doors open at 9am, with the first kick-off scheduled for 10am sharp. Spectator tickets are available, with supporters encouraged to attend and be part of a full day of football, entertainment and community engagement both on and off the pitch.
Be part of the Watford family and join us in supporting a meaningful cause while celebrating the Club’s community spirit and heritage. Club legends expected to attend in support include Lloyd Doyley, Adrian Mariappa, Arthur Janata, Paul Robinson, Craig Cathcart, William Troost-Ekong, Tommy Smith, Tommy Mooney, and Luther Blissett OBE DL to name a few.
Most importantly, 100% of profits raised from the event will go directly to the Trust and other mental health charities, with no administrative deductions.
