Taylor Trek Returns for 2026 with Mercer & Hole Confirmed as Headline Sponsor
The Trust is delighted to announce the return of The Taylor Trek for 2026, with leading accountancy firm Mercer & Hole once again confirmed as headline sponsor.
Now entering its fifth year, the much-loved charity walk will take place on Sunday 4th October 2026 and is delivered in partnership with Rennie Grove Peace Hospice Care. The event brings together supporters, families, businesses, and local residents to celebrate the remarkable legacy of Graham Taylor OBE while raising vital funds for two charities close to his heart.
To mark this milestone anniversary, the Trust are planning some exciting new additions to make this year’s event bigger and better than ever. While details are being kept under wraps for now, participants can look forward to something extra special, with further announcements set to be made in the coming weeks.
Starting and finishing at Vicarage Road Stadium, participants can choose from three routes that explore key locations connected to Graham Taylor’s time at Watford Football Club. As well as being the Club’s most successful manager, he was a dedicated patron of both the Trust and Rennie Grove Peace Hospice Care, making the event a fitting tribute to his lasting impact on the local community.
Director at Mercer & Hole, Maria Kelly, said:
“Mercer & Hole are delighted to continue our support of The Taylor Trek. It is truly inspiring to see families, schools, and Watford supporters come together to honour the legacy of Graham Taylor OBE while raising vital funds for both the Trust and Rennie Grove Peace Hospice Care. As we mark the fifth anniversary of the event, we look forward to making this year’s Taylor Trek the biggest and most successful yet.”
This year’s event offers three route options, making it accessible to walkers of all ages and abilities:
Family Route (3.5 miles)
A fun and accessible route perfect for families, casual walkers and even four-legged companions.
Medium Route (8.3 miles)
An ideal challenge for those looking to combine exercise with a journey through Watford FC history.
Challenge Route (18+ miles)
A demanding trek that visits key locations connected to Graham Taylor’s Hornets legacy.
All participants will enjoy a memorable pitch-side finish at Vicarage Road Stadium, receive a commemorative medal and have the opportunity to earn exclusive fundraising rewards. Complimentary refreshments and appearances from special guests will also help make the day one to remember.
Every step taken and every pound raised will help support the life-changing work delivered by the Trust and Rennie Grove Peace Hospice Care.
