TheTaylorTrekisbackfor2025withMercer&Holenamedsponsor

Leading accountancy firm Mercer & Hole is proud to return as headline sponsor of The Taylor Trek for the fourth consecutive year, supporting Watford FC Community Sports and Education Trust’s flagship fundraising event in partnership with Rennie Grove Peace Hospice.

Set to take place on Sunday 12th October 2025, The Taylor Trek invites the local community to lace up their walking shoes for a special charity walk around Watford and its surrounding areas. Starting and finishing at Vicarage Road Stadium, the event follows a route that celebrates iconic moments and locations from Graham Taylor’s legendary time with Watford FC. As well as being the Hornets’ greatest ever manager, Taylor was also a patron to both of the charities benefitting from this event.

Audit & Business Advisory Partner at Mercer & Hole, Jo Upshall, said:

“We are thrilled to be sponsoring the Taylor Trek again in 2025. This fantastic event, now in its fourth year, means so much to us, supporting two important charities in our community. It’s great to see the event grow in popularity year on year. We are so pleased that we made the decision to get involved when it first launched back in 2022. We haven’t looked back since, and we can’t wait to take part again with all our friends and families.”

This year’s event features three walking routes catering to all ages and abilities:

  • Family Route (3.5 miles): An accessible, family-friendly route, perfect for all ages — and even four-legged friends.
  • Medium Route (8.3 miles): A moderately challenging walk for those wanting a mix of exercise and Watford FC history.
  • Challenge Route (18+ miles): A serious trek for those ready to push themselves while visiting every key site from Graham Taylor’s Hornets legacy.

Participants will enjoy a pitch-side stadium finish, a commemorative medal, exclusive merchandise for fundraisers, complimentary refreshments, and the opportunity to meet special guests.

Funds raised will go towards supporting the vital work of Watford FC Community Sports and Education Trust and Rennie Grove Peace Hospice, continuing Graham Taylor’s vision of community, care, and connection.
