Alongside Watford FC, we were delighted to support Herts Pride 2025, which was held in Cassiobury Park last weekend.
Allyship and friendship with all of the communities we support are the cornerstone of the work we do.
This was the third year in a row that the Hornets have supported the event, which invites people of all races, faiths, genders, sexualities and abilities to join in and show their support for our local LGBTQ+ community and celebrate diversity in Hertfordshire.
Along with our Proud Hornets supporters’ group, the club and Trust hosted the sports zone on the day, with signed shirts, balls and match tickets being won by those who visited our stall.
We were also joined by members of Southampton’s LGBTQ+ supporters’ group on their way to Vicarage Road.
The event featured a wide range of exciting stalls, fabulous catering, a main stage with a diverse mix of entertaining acts and the legendary dog show.
There was also a Wellbeing Marquee, which provided a real hub of support, with many statutory and voluntary organisations connecting with the community.
“Herts Pride 2025 was all about #Connections – bringing people and organisations together,” said Tyson Martin, Chair of Herts Pride.
“From the fantastic dog show to the brilliant performers on the CeX Community Stage, and the amazing acts on the Ocado Main Stage in the Just Smile Big Top, there was something for everyone.
“Even though we had a little rain later in the early evening, everyone had a great day. It was a truly amazing community event, and we are deeply grateful to our sponsors, our amazing volunteers and everyone who came along to celebrate with us.”
Herts Pride is a non-profit organisation run entirely and exclusively by volunteers in order to help support the local LGBTQ+ community, and plans are already in place for next year’s event, which will take place on August 22, 2026.
The club and Trust are delighted to pledge their ongoing support for this brilliant community event.
